My favourite jetliner wearing my favourite livery!!

RARE footage of a beautiful AA 990 "Astrojet". If the young girl in the passenger seat looks familiar, she's well known child actor Suzanne Cupito.

Suzanne later changed her name to "Morgan Brittany", and became a big star in the 1980s on the night time soap, "Knot's Landing".

Clips here are all too brief, but 990 footage is hard, VERY HARD to come by!

Be sure to check my channel for the BEST in VINTAGE & RARE airliner videos!

  • the girl at 1:00 must be in her late 50s by now.

  • That's "Morgan Brittany" from "Knotts Landing". :-)

  • NIce to see the producers of "My Three Sons" used American Airlines Convair 990 footage througout the exterior scenes instead of sneaking in a similar looking AA 707. I suppose American insisted probably since the CV 990 was the latest airliner to join its fleet at the time this episode of "My Three Sons" was filmed.

  • No doubt. :-) MTS AA 720B footage is on the way.

  • This is a scene from " my three sons " TV from the 60's. This is the way it used to be, men with ties and women classically dressed, not like today, wish I was back in the 60's.

  • Looks like PHX

  • White People unite.

  • Good ole' N5605- she was the 9th 990 off the assembly line. Flew for American '62-'67, then flew for Modern Air, Air France and Ports Of Call. She ended her flying days in 1981 and was later scrapped in Denver CO. A beautiful bird!!

  • hudson501's comment about "sneaking in a similar looking AA707." How about when your watching a movie or television series where the pilots are shown with 2 throttles between them but then, when they take off, their in a 3 engine B727 and when they land they're in Tristar or B747 or gawd knows what else. Geeeez, I hate those technical imperfections. The BEST, in that vain, was the 1977 movie "Airport 77." Every instrument you saw as she flew the plane was the real deal. Excellent job.

  • Crap! I'm disappointed that I missed the rest of the show!!!! I was 16 years old in 1963 I can remember, so well, watching My Three Sons. Darn, now I've got to run off the Best Buy to see if I can find the entire episode on DVD.

  • @SFConifer That's back when education meant everything... now it's hip hop and who dresses better or tougher that the other. Todays world is pathetic!!

  • Even though it's an old plane it's still bad ass!! Oh and I'll have the steak and eggs :P

  • Steve Douglas, aeronautical engineer. Carries his slide rule in shirt pocket

  • white gloves for women and little girls...

  • wow ... 2 minutes of boring small-talk, 20 seconds of plane
