The Klunker Run Mountain Bike Rally presented by The Block Shop and Atomic Cycles was held on Feb. 15th, 2010 in Palmdale, CA. It featured classes for Vintage, Coaster Brake, Single Speed, and Department Store ( under $200) bikes as well as an open class for less antiquated machines. Cool, Where is this??? I wish there was an event like that down here by me, my local trails are still all burned out, would love to try my Marin-style Klunker on this but the drum brakes would be suicidal on some of that singletrack LOL, do you have a different course for those old farts like me with really old bikes or does it just "take longer" LOL

@KlunkerRider This is in Palmdale, CA, about 70 minutes north of L.A. These trails got a recent makeover this past winter as we has copious amounts of rain. This was actually one of the earlier layouts, so it was pretty much one line for everybody. They've grown quite a bit since then, just haven't been able to get there with my camera yet.

@lduncan88 yeah but where? I know Palmdale and this isnt the corner of Sierra Hwy & Palmdale Blvd ;-) Which trails are they using? I only know of the trails up behind Devils Punchbowl.

@KlunkerRider Up behind Highland High off of P-12 and 25th West. The trail head is about a mile west up an old development road.
