Long reins are easy for the horse : there is no backpack (the rider, lol).

Myself, I do this before I start riding them for this reason. On the left, on the right, back, side walk ..with no interference from ... the big stuff on top of me..

saxhanda if you can ride and train better than the spanish riding school then you must be incredibly famous with everyone beating a path to your door. post your videos that are so much better. this horse is moving very well for his type, the situation and type of work being done.

well, maybe for show jumping, you can get some bars and try to jump over them a bit. Hope you have fun up there in Iceland!! =)

No.. I don't know anyone in iceland that teaches dressage, only tölt and some boring stuff like that, we don't even have show jumping! How boring is that???

ok, but i just tell you that

first: not jus big horsesdo dressage, small ponies can too!!

second: to make long reins, you have to show your horse dressage first and lear dressage you to!

i'm not criticising i'm just giving my opinion

No.. And thinking of it with that big horse wouldn't help either..

And i'm only a kid in iceland :S..

Well..

Just maby i'll do this when i grow up..

But there's one big proplem with me.. If i get intrested in something, the old intrest is gone and i'm all over that new intrest !

first you should learn to ride like dressage rider do, then practice long reins, do you have any idea of how hard it is to train a horse for long reins??!!
