Video and images from Build Change's first trip to Haiti following the January 2010 earthquake.
Build Change designs earthquake-resistant houses and trains homeowners, builders, engineers, and government officials to build them. By making simple improvements to already established building practices, Build Change promotes sustainable, locally appropriate earthquake-resistant housing construction.
Over 24,000 people are living in safer homes because of Build Changes work. Our on-the-job training programs have trained over 410 builders; our technical training programs have trained more than 585 engineers from technical high school students to architects. Weve helped build more than 6,528 safer earthquake-resistant homes. And were just getting started!
