Beautiful plane, nice flying. I just maidened a 78" Texas Hurricane this past week with an XYZ50 - engine sounds good and runs nice. How has yours been holding up since this video?

I'm putting together same plane but zenoah G38. You fly that thing like pro. You didn't like the wheel pants ? I can hear the wind, it was strong that day , right ? Nice flying...

I gave the plane to a friend, and I'm now flying a Great Planes Reactor with DA-50. I still have the XYZ50, and last time I ran it on a test stand, it ran great. I have an RCXEL ignition unit on it. I don't know the needle settings, but set it 1.5 turns out on the H and L to get started.

thanks for the compliment. the wheel pants got damaged because the oem wheels were too soft to support the weight. i put harder dubro wheels on it. we use zinger 18x8-14 props on our g38s. it'll be a little on the hefty side. watch your cg. the new dle-30 with the same prop should be a winner too...cheers...ken

wow, that is a majestic tiger of grace and fury. I may have to get one. I have a Thor 45cc that I think should do the job. Did you ever open the throttle completely? Once the cowl is on it should be even faster. Are you going to put it on? My Extra became a bullet once I got the cowl on. It was fast without it as well.

i have a spare cowl ready to carve up to fit the xyz50...just haven't gotten around to doing it...when i used an os1.60fx mounted at 135 degrees, i had the cowl mounted...same prop...same rpm...
