One of the solutions to our nation's energy future could be sitting in millions of garbage bins across the country. Recycling has been a tremendous success because it gives another life to many of the plastics and other materials we use every day. But as efficient as the recycling process is, some materials cannot yet be efficiently or economically recycled. Experts estimate that non-recycled materials currently have an energy value that would allow us to power 15 million homes annually!
