We spoke to Bobby Vee when he was in Las Vegas. He told us about how he got his start. It was so tragic. He said the day Buddy was killed, that night the audience was asked if anyone could sing to fill in. Music just hasn't been the same since those days.

Bobby Vee was the artist who filled in for Buddy Holly after the music died in cedar Lake Iowa on 2/2/59 Ironic isnt it that Bobby vee had more hits than Charles hardin Holley and yet when Vee tried to make a comeback with acoustic versions of some of his songs they went nowhere Robert thomas Velline aka Bobby Vee will always remain one of the great sixties teen stars!!!.
