Ralph, the English springer Spaniel doing tricks and smacking treats

Ralphie doing tricks for treats. Ralph had a large vocabulary. He always knew what I was saying to him. He was the best dog I have ever seen. He died this week on October 23 2009 of renal failure. I am overcome with grief. Never will I have another dog like him.

I am sooo sorry for your loss. May he RIP.The part about his head on shoulder made me cry. Ralph died on his own but I had just left him and was in the other room. I've never gotten over that I wasn't here for him. He let out 3 little yelps as if to say goodbye mom. I ran in to him but he was gone. I would have loved his head on my shoulder. So sorry...

Springers fur is hard to keep clean and looking good when it is long. You obviously did a good job taking care of him, Sorry he died. I have a Springer named George who is 13 and I hate to think of him being gone some day.

Just two days ago I had my English Springer Spaniel put down due to cancer and he rested his head on my shoulder as he went to sleep so I totally understand what you mean about being overcome with grief. He was my best friend and I miss him dearly. I love your video and it brought a rare smile to my face. God bless.

He was beautiful!! So sorry for your loss, I know how hard it is to lose a dog, some people don't understand, but it's like losing a child. Ralph will be up at rainbow bridge having a great time though! Remember, when someone dies, we don't say'goodbye', we say 'see you later'.
