My appendix cancer was diagnosed in July of 2007. My daughters and I started researching my rare cancer and found Laurie Todds sight. We purchased her book on how to fight the insurance company and I ended up paying a total of 150.00. Thank you Laurie for helping me and my family through the insurance maze. I connected with Laurie via Internet during one of my darkest hours-I had been diagnosed with appendix cancer and my insurance co was refusing to pay for my treatment. I felt overwhelmed with the task of fighting a major corporation. I ordered Laurie's book and using her step by step approach was able to write a lengthy appeal which led to my insurance co paying for my entire treatment. I remain cancer free one year later. Lauries book and Laurie herself have been able to help many people to deal with the financial part of cancer. She, in this book gives detailed methods to deal with insurance companys and provincial health care plans, she has won each appeal that she has taken on and many more that just used this book.

As a nurse and an Stage 3 ovarian cancer survivor I feel that Laurie has saved lives including her own. If you get her book, read it, and make sure you keep it and pass this on because it CAN happen to you and NEVER count on your insurance company to let you go to "the best" doctor or institution there is. You want what Laurie calls Dr.Expert, but he may be more expensive than Dr. Anyone. Your life will be at stake and you will want the best for you and your family.
