  • Pure silk i bet Simon?...I got to try one of their Reserve at GBBF last August that too was Silk perfection & was worth the wait in the very large queue of people..

  • @sofakingdrunk66 lovely beers arnt they, are you going to get No3? Yes this was like pure silk, lovely beer cheers

  • Great Review!! What vintage ales are those in the background?

    Cheers Simon!!

  • @NYRfan4ever Some Innis and Gunn which I plan to review next week, cheers

  • We can get most of the Fuller's range over here but I've never seen their brewers reserves here.

It's a case of what's old is new. All beer used to be aged in wood barrels but now breweries are experimenting with different types of spirit barrels.

I don't how you're getting sent all these special beers. You are certainly lucky.

  • @StumpyJoeJr I would really like to try beer that was brewed in traditional wooden barrels, I wonder how the beer would have changed in the taste? Fullers purposely used whiskey oak barrels to draw out the whiskey flavour but it intrigues me how things would have tasted "Back in the day" Cheers Ryan.

  • @realaleguide Gonae to put it on my Xmas list Simon...LOL

  • @plumerjr Hope you find a bottle its lovely, cheers

  • @Wineword I have a very very special Italian Beer from Birra Del Borgo for us to review next month, that comes in a nicely presented box too, this beer was lovely, importantly getting the beer taste first then subtle hints of Whiskey. No2 was brewed in Cognac casks resulting in it being way out balanced, it was hard to find a beer taste, just loads and loads of Cognac. Im taking part in Movember, have to grow a tach for the month of November for testicular Cancer charity, cheers Robin.

  • Looks and sounds interesting. I'll keep an eye out for it here.
