  • is that el 34 version?

  • @bravia15 Yes...EL-34's

  • That was pure awesome!

    Cheers!

  • Thanks. I've got a Tim Caswell modded Marshall Plexi I'm playing right now that is simply incredible. I plan on posting some clips soon.

  • Sounds amazing - do you have to crank it to get good tone?

  • You can get good tone a lower volumes, but, of course, sings when it's cranked.

  • godlike tone

  • @kerranz As it gets closer to the midrange, there becomes an increased emphasis in the mids and less highs since they're now above the resonant frequency.

  • @kerranz Overwinding pickups doesn't take away mid range. It cuts highs. The more winds you have, the greater the inductance and capacitance you have. The two together create a resonant frequency, where everything around it is boosted and everything above it is cut dramatically. In your typical low output pickup, the resonant frequency is a several kHz. As the inductance and capacitance rise, the resonant frequency lowers and starts getting closer to the midrange.

  • @kerranz -Sorry to come late to this party, but just wanted to say I totally agree with you! Everybody freaks out about how "powerful" this pickup is, how "bell clear and sweet" that one is, "this one is best for metal/country/jazz/blues" blah, blah, blah! Any good, decent, well working pickup will reproduce ALL kinds of tones great. It is the PLAYER who is the ultimate tone creator! Been playing 35 years myself. Keep On Rockin'! :)

  • Honestly, this might be the best sounding guitar clip I've ever heard on Youtube. Absolutely phenomenal tone bro!!!

  • I own this amp too. Ever since I bought mine back in 2000, I haven't even been remotely interested in buying anything else or going to guitar stores. It's kind of like having a super model for a wife.

  • Overwind a humbucker and you EXAGGERATE the mids.... Learn about pickups dude. Try listening to them and not reading about them.

  • Does anybody no where I can find a bogner cube? ive been lookin everywhere for one. I the the 80s tone from the amp nice tone!

  • @kerranz (i know , i love my guitar so much i tell everyone TT)
