Performance Assessment

In groups, students will combine socio-historical themes with literature to research and create a photo-essay for a memoir. The memoir photo essay will showcase their understanding of a memoir's historical and/or social context. To create their photo-essay, students will conduct internet research and use Microsoft Movie Maker and Flip Cameras. The photo essay will be accompanied by a short written essay describing the themes that are displayed in the memoir and how these themes connect to the social and historical time period in which the story is set.
