800cc Snowmobile. This sled is called an Open Modified. Bascially no rules lightweight. This video is from 1997, back then this was one of the fastest in the world. Were not allowed to run this style anymore. Best pass was 9.17 139.8 Driver John Oliver, Video is from Dale Ibister.

lots of wheels in the track to keep from drag, replace skis with wheels, and put a radiator in the front of the sled. and riding is a sick sport.

wow, ran a pretty quick time back in 1997. but dosen't match up to todays sleds, some sleds are running low 7's on some 4 stroke engine. nice vid.
