ok, if the title of this alone is TMI, I do apologize...but I went to a raw foods detox/cleanse in ATL and boy did we get "down and dirty" with the whole cleansing process.
As a pitta (that's my dosha-- it's ayurvedic medicine), most of my toxins came out my skin. I felt tired most of the time on the raw foods diet and pretty much stuck to it (though I did eat a dinner meal after 6 pm- still raw- most days).
the good? we did some awesome emotional healing while there. the other participants were amazing! and reminded me of the principle of cleansing and how good certain parts of that diet can be for me. (specifically lots of healing greens, sauerkraut, and fermented bevvies)
I added new things to my diet like wheat grass and sprouts and am WAY more mindful about my H20 and meat/dairy sources.
the bad? nothing, really. except that I'm not meant to be 100% raw-- I'm blood type O so raw/vegan is a tough sell for my body chemistry.
the ugly? cleansing is not a pretty process. we need even more grace, sleep, hugs and love than ever during it. and after it. my re-entry into polite society that does not regularly discuss colonics has been rocky ;)
love and peace,
L
@RodTalon0000 yes-- wheatgrass enemas are pretty bomb...some people can't keep them in (haha so it's good to be near toilet) BUT if you can finish your enema with some wheatgrass (after you've already cleared everything else out) and actually hold it in, the benefits are magnified. and it turns your poo a lovely shade of emerald green. bahahahaha.

Great video, I'm going to make my own Wheatgrass avocado mask. ALSO I heard that using Wheat Grass as an enema is MAJOR GOOD for the body. I guess it enters the body quicker and doesn't compromise the nutrient value or living enzymes by entering the digestive system... your colon literally soaks it all in ...
