Dog Asks for WATER

StarLight a Border Collie demonstrates how dogs can learn to ask SPECIFICALLY for WATER (rather than food, treat, chicken, toy, etc.).

She's thirsty, increasing motivation.
First I prompt for the move I want. her to make for Water.
When she responds correctly (leg to left jaw) I deliver the water.
When she has that learned, I remove the prompt.
I show her the water and wait for her to ...sign for it.
StarLight repeats an approximation of the move..on her own.
I deliver the water.
(We refine the move later.)

She's learned how to K9Sign for Water!
