In a TV-program that was on air at the time shortly after the release of this song, the members of Perfume said that they had talked what video should be taken for this song and had thought it would be "unnatural" video for them, then they had concluded that it would be the video with some back-dancers, because they hadn't taken such video for PV. In addition they danced for it with "unnatural" postures and movements (for example 1:26 in this video).

This song (Unnatural Girl) was released as 10th single being coupled with "Natural ni koishite (Be in love naturally)" in April 2010. Both songs were released as double A side-tunes. It is intentional that this songs has the title and lyrics in contrast to those of "Natural ni koishite". The title of this song in English Wikipedia (Artificial Girl) is a mistranslation.

"Fushizenna Girl" means "Unnatural Girl" in English. In its lyrics a girl talks about her relation with a male friend. She loves him but she cannot confess it to him. Instead of it, she behaves unnaturally. (For example, when she finds him on a rainy day, she hides her umbrella [expecting he would find her and walk with her under his umbrella.]) So she calls the Self in her mind "unnatural girl".
