people like this shouldnt be allowed to be given such a privilage to use that good manual espresso machine. She doesnt even know how to tamp the espresso properly and the foaming is horrible. Plus its shots first before the milk then the foam.. And professionally.. Cappucinos are not made with the use of a spoon. Its free poured.

There you go Ashley, as you stated - "18 -20 seconds is the perfect shot". How long did yours take? Somewhere between 9 - 11 seconds I think... Not enough pressure on your tamping may be the problem...
