@rhythmantic This wasn't done with a drum machine. This is an alternate take from the Double Fantasy sessions that was done in the studio with a band.

Thankyou!

This is incredible, thanks for sharing. I recently covered this number on drums. If this take was done with a drum machine, Andy must have played on the final released take pretty much what this machine was programmed.

Johns deep voice when he talkes always throws me off the tracks - I´ll always love him

Why talk politics on a Lennon video?? You must be a Mccartney fan :P RON PAUL 2012 !!!

@ludwigking
Sadly not. I talked to Jack Douglas about this a few weeks ago and John mostly used a Sardonyx electric guitar while in the studio. The Rickenbacker 325 was brought to the studio several times by Fred Seaman, but it was never actually used.

Who played the drums? The demo must have had a drum computer when John was at home.

@SgtOBrien
John used a rhythm machine at home, but Andy Newmark played drums on Double Fantasy. There are also takes of John in Bermuda where bongos are present. In that case, the bongos were played by his personal assistant Fred Seaman.
