This is already just ridiculous...I'm willing to take a bet that most of these people were born in the 20th century. We're talking about a millennium here - what the hell is AIDS compared to, say, the black plague? Who the hell is Louis Armstrong compared to all the great composers in the past centuries? Just 100% bullshit (which is suprising seeing as A&E makes excellent biographies).

One last thing, it's total bullshit that John F. Kennedy wasn't on here, just because of his 2 year term until his death doesn't mean he wasn't inspirational to America, imagine how much pain America was in when Kennedy died? There were some who still seek justice in his assassination. He should have replaced Diana.

I feel that this list, all 25 parts of it, is completely overrated at a high point. The Beatles and Elvis are more important than Nelson Mandela or Joseph Stalin? Bill Gates is more important than Charles Babbage, who actually invented the computer? Princess Diana is actually on this list? Were the scholars, world leaders, journalists, and voters all tripping on acid when they took the polls?

Wait, it said that da gama traveled 3 times the distance than columbus did. And columbus is WAY UP AT THE TOP! How pointless.
