i don't know if it is cheaper then a unified system, but a power pack is definitely cheaper and using the wood cribs system is definitely lees stress on the building. if you tried lifting a house the was the length of the steel beams in the video, using this system the house would have a 8in belly and a lot of damage to the structure

This is my absolute FAVORITE video on YouTube!!! I have watched this movie literally over 30 times in the past year!
