The Death Star is a fictional moon-sized space station and superweapon appearing in the Star Wars movies and expanded universe. In the films, the first Death Star is featured in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, and a second Death Star is under construction in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

  • Cool

  • @CardCostumes Thank you.

  • As far as I can tell, the music is from a Picwick LP called "Sounds of Star Wars". I remember having it when I was young. Basically the Star Wars sound track modernised for the times and with musique concrete in between most tracks! Coooool! So exited to hear it!

  • @23Kosminski Thanks a lot. This version is taken from the album "Space Sounds Unlimited" by the BMG Ariola Miller GmbH. It also includes Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and so on. The booklet names the composers only. I have the theory that this complete album was performed by a single guy and his synthesizer.

  • i remember mine had a gun turret on the top and the cannons were the same as on the xwing fighter they used to attach to lego as well :)

  • @leerat Forgot about the turret. One barrel of mine was missing. I also had a second hand X-Wing without any guns but that didn't hamper my fun. Did you have the shuttle Tydirium? That was awesome, too.

  • @casemaster333 I envy you. I sold my figures to have money for Transformers and MASK.

  • I used to have this when i was little. I spent many hours playing Star Wars. Unfortunately it has been lost over the years but i'm glad to say i still have most of my figures which my son is just starting to play with. I had a look on the legs of the figures and they have the date of 1977 on them. I was 5 :)

  • @leerat I got mine from a flea market ~ 25 years ago. I paid 10 Marks and it wasn't in good shape, too. Sadly it didn't survive my childhood.

  • i love this playset!!! had many happy hours as a kid playing out scenes from the film :) i remember it cost £8.25 which was a lot of money at the time !!! oh happy times.... :)
