This video proves nothing. With your logic, I could draw a circle for you and have you make a dot and ask you if it is possible god doesn't exist either, or buddah doesn't exist, or unicorns do not exist.. In the confines of your logic, you are disproving god just as much as you are trying to disprove atheism.
@JustElijah so basically the example shows that if you make a representation, it needs to be as accurate as possible with out overlooking the fine details, another example is a map, you take a look at it, and you don't have a legend to indicate the distance, what could seem like a long distance could be a short . you use maps to help you know the distance between you and your goal, thus if you're doing something that requires a scale down, you need to make it proportional
@JustElijah you can't, no matter how big a circle you draw, no matter how large a piece of paper you have, you just can't make a finite area a representation of something infinite. other wise it would be a misrepresentation manipulated only for the sake of an argument that relies on a faulty representation, its like saying a hole looks like its only 30 feet deep, but when you actually jump in it, it turns out to be a hundred and you die. (continue in my second post)
How many atheists have you run into that actually claim that God does not exist?
Let me make this very clear, if someone were to say that they do not believe in God, this is not the same as a statement of affirmative knowledge that there is not God.
Simply put, nonbelief in a claim =/= belief in the juxtapositive of the claim.
Positing God as the solution to why there is something rather than nothing always results in an argument from ignorance.
@483091 You said several when there were only 3 haha. But I wanted to enquire of something else than the "holes in your logic". How can you illustrate the universe without illustrating all knowledge we have available in it? Then how can we do that without scaling it down? What you describe knowledge to be is revelation and those you speak of are in this world; keeping them in the circle. So who are you with your dot of intelligence to say God isn't outside the circle anyway? Good night.
