Ya its a pretty sweet skinning knife , I have one similar cept mine has a ivory looking handle and the blades stainless.

Hey Brian! I think your history review is right on. Although now built by Chinese workers, the Schrade designs are same as ever. Whether Chinese steel is same quality as USA steel is debatable. But I have no quarrel with Chinese knife makers. Paul

Schrade, the real Schrade, is dead. Taylor Cutlery bought the rights to the name, and has been using it on some very cheap knives made in China.
Best product I've seen that has the Schrade label stamped on it . . . The Schrade pen (version 1) that I own and use on a daily basis.
