@Handyman1714 ~ Thanks for the VID ~ it really does bring back some special memories (and not just of the topless bar action!). I graduated H.S. in June 1965 and enrolled at California State University (@ Fullerton) and grabbed a 2S student deferment. I graduated, with a B.A. Degree (a semester early) in January 1969. Just a month later the Downey, CA. draft board had reclassified me 1A and on 5 February 69 I was reporting to AFEES in downtown L.A. By 19 June 69 I was in Vietnam (1st Cav).

@MrRonnieG again very welcome,,and glad brings back the memories,,cool for you to refrain early draft,,I withdrew and enlisted FEb 10th 1967,left feb 19th for boot,,and was in Nam in sept same year,did one tour,finished my 2year enlistment with the corp and well here I am,,LOl,,was DJ for many years and have way too much music,,but sure enjoy being abke to listen to whatever suits my mind for the day

It was 1968 and my best buds & I were all turning 21. We use to hang out at "The Cat Patch," a topless bar in Norwalk, California. I swear I hear this song play 10,000 times in the 10 months between my 21st birthday (4/68) and the day I was drafted (2/69) and went off to Vietnam. Things were never the same again but for just a little while in my 60's youth ~ life was really really good.
