Heather is at loss. All her friends tell her to have May, the blinded mare, put down for good. But Heather still wants to believe there's hope. Could she still keep her? But when she has a conversation with Sam, her friend suggests that she go to a retirement center for horses. May could saty till her last days, and not by force or a syringe.
Heather disgiuses her relief and says she's taking May to the vet anyway. May is loaded into the trailer, and Heather drives off with the trailer in tow. But she decides to take the toll road, where it leads her to someplace else...
