  • Was that a Lancaster at the top of the screen there at the end?

  • Yes it was. The CWHM has the only flying Lancaster in North America. It's also the only one you can purchase a flight in. People come from around the world (mostly WII Common Wealth countries) to fly in it. You can see close up video of it in my other clip "Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Flyfest 2008 Aircraft Start Ups". Note that these videos are not the best - they suffer from lack of close-ups. I think the recording of the vintage engine sounds is their best feature.

  • For anyone interested in Lancaster bombers or other Canadian warbirds, I've just posted a separate video taken at the same show. A number of clips were stitched together. It's not the most exciting video, but some will find the planes and sounds interesting.

  • Is that an Avro Lancaster in the background at the end of vid?

  • Yes, it's a Lanc. I had other footage from the airshow and stitched it together. A start-up and shutdown of the Lancaster is included.

  • i was here its was so cool seeing them flying formation with the Lancaster

  • You got that right. I'm looking forward to Father's day this year and will shoot a better video then. Hope the same planes are there. If not, there's the Friendly Foes Above the Falls Airshow on June 5th.

  • Last but not least, the

    Hawker Hurricane, responsible for 60%

of kills in the Battle of Britain,

mainly German bombers, while the Spits fought off the Me109 fighters

  • wouldn't it be great of that 109 was sent over here to the UK for the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain next year

  • fuck you moron

  • @TheMuffdivr With your logic, if the Aces of Britain and her Commonweatlh (not just England you retard!) or the US had such mediocre pilots then Marseiile's achievements can't really have been that great!! What a load of bollocks!! Pilot skill is only one factor in what was required to win the war. TheMuffdivr - another "Youtube historian with the mental age of 10" trying to rewrite history! :oD

  • You must have your head up you ass Rosacruz. Hartmann wasn't even in the Spanish conflict and from what I've read, 7 of his 352 kills were American flown P-51 Mustangs. It's all in the skill of the pilot, and the RAF and USAF just didn't have it.All they had was an unlimited supply of mediocre pilots. Russia + Japan had better aces than England or the US, so your point is? ALL of Marseille's 158 kills were against RAF and US fighters.Basically put, he was Enland's "bloody nightmare".Equal my ass

  • All I can say is, if Joachim Marseille or Hartman were in that Me-109, all 3 of those English aircraft following him would be eatin' shit once they got in the air.

  • My god this is fantastic to see them all. is there another video them flying??

  • Yes Ladies and Gents. Thats a real 109 too, no merlin powered one. Very nice!

  • @Rosacruz01

Apologies to jump in late. Those kills that you state by Hartmann, Barkhorn etc, were those against the RAF or all allied Airforces ? Considering that the Luftwaffe flew against the likes of Spain etc, it wouldn't surprise me if they accumulated so many kills, but I bet their percentages against the RAF and USAF were more equal !!

  • I love me 109 is was the best in the wwII

    Best regards from mexico

  • o ur dead man. no ur dead. its on now!
