  • @CrypticAngel13 Whats your career choice and money have to do with being proud of where your from. I guess you were not proud when families joined together to help the families of our fallen miners? Or when coach stew took a group of kids to the fiesta bowl and shocked the nation?? Not to mention huggs in the final four?? Give me a break stay in FLA.

  • @eers2ya Well excuse me that I was basically run out of WV because of the failing economy and forced to move to Florida which is the place where everyone goes to die. Take a look at the town I lived in in WV, at the time it was the 3rd largest city in WV. Its a very sad and disappointing place now.

  • @CrypticAngel13 for once? You're pathetic.

  • SUPERBOWL ! SUPERBOWL !

  • I am very glad that Eugene showed good taste in singing our National Anthem. I cannot stand it when a singer thinks this occasion is all about them. They think they are dazzling us with their vocal trills with never ending additions to the song. There is nothing more beautiful than hearing the American National Anthem sung simply as it was written. Black female vocalists are the worst example of defiling our national anthem with never ending trills.

  • For once someone makes me proud to be from West Virgina. =)

  • WONDERFUL LANDAU!

  • I agree -- sporting events should broadcast the National Anthem -- usually the WVU marching band plays the National Anthem and there has only been three or four times since the stadium was built in 1980 where there was a singer singing the Anthem...so that's a big deal when there is a singer and phooey on ABC for not broadcasting this moment...but thank you for sharing it with us WVU alums who are not currently in WV.

  • Televised sports events should be scheduled so that the National Anthem is ALWAYS broadcast before the game, no matter who is singing it! It never hurts to be reminded how fortunate we are.

As for Landau; BRAVO!!! It must have been quite an experience for him!! I love how the crowd supports him with applause, singing along & waiving their towels with him at the end. Even with a minor vocal glitch or two (which I'm sure he can correct before the next time) it was a wonderful performance!
