Today, May 3 2009, is Pete Seeger's 90th birthday. I can't make the big concert at Madison Square Garden to celebrate it, so this is my small tribute to him, an amazing man with an amazing wife, and an amazing life.
The MSG concert will be shown on PBS in late summer, in HDTV.

It is a commi song especially when it says about private property. I was a big Springsteen fan growing up I have turned my back on him when gets up and sings GOD BLESS AMERICA then maybe I will start buying his cd's and listening to him again.

You are right. When Pete is gone, I don't think there is any one person that can replace him, or step in his shoes. But maybe, as a community working together, we can come close. He is certainly inspirational, and my main role model, though I can't carry a tune!

Sorry I also could not be live at either concert! Someone told me there is a movement to help nominate Pete for the Nobel Peace Prize. YouTube does not allow URLs, but google nobelprize4pete. If anyone has earned it he has!

You are welcome. I told my wife we will have to buy our first HDTV to watch the concert, but she told me we will just go to our daughter's house to watch it, she has one! Boo!
Pete Seeger is one incredible man, backed up by one incredible woman.
