checkers the cat

LOS ANGELES CAT.
Checkers is a remarkable little male cat with
a heart to match.
Two years ago, he turned up hungry, scared and
battered and I have been feeding and acclimating him to human
affection and
contact ever since. I live in a
small place and already had a very territorial cat at the time, so I could not
take him in.
At Thanksgiving, I found him in a neighbors
yard, frightened with an infected paw from a catfight. I trapped, had him
examined on an
emergency basis by a vet who kept him overnight and, when his infection
cleared, I had him neutered. Since his discharge, I have fostered him, kept
him on a course of antibiotics and warm compresses to his leg.
Now that he is eating well, bursting with
health and incredible affection, I need to find this sweet, affectionate,
beautiful cat a loving, caring forever home with the space he deserves.
He loves his cat tree, which will come with
him, his catnip scratching post (ditto) and, most of all, having his head
scratched, which makes him purr, coo and roll around with pleasure and
gratitude.
This cat is a little miracle
who needs a major miracle a
loving companion Unfortantly we found he he has FIV so he needs to be the only cat in the house.
