Rainmeter is a very useful and very simple program, although it can be confusing at time the overall usage of this program makes up for it. Follow my steps and Rainmeter should be much easier to use.

-> Control Panel --> Appearance & Customization ----> Windows Sidebar Properties ------> Start Sidebar When Windows Starts (Uncheck this option)

Done. No more Windows sidebar on startup. Rainmeter's sidebar is so much more cool and customizable. You want your Windows to look less lame? learn to use Rainmeter, if your a noob, then learn basic scripting

How can i make it so you dont see the little icon bar and the sidebar. I got the clock with the date and time and all i want is that to show up

it looks flashy and cool and doesn't stick out as much as windows gadgets but it's more complicated to customize than Linux! lol
