I do have empathy for any victim of violence. Each case is different. I have known several women over the years who were in abusive relationships. I have also known women who lied and claimed that every single man they were with were absuing them. I have known women who have gone back to abusive men because they 'love them' or because they don't want to work and support themselves, again each case is different.

you idiot! women often go back not because they want to or because they love them, they go back because they are scared, have no support system, and the fact of being beaten senseless is less scary than being by themselves. we need more support for battered women, let them know the 1 time they do manage to call the cops or ask for help they will get it. its a hard cycle to break and you have not been there, if you had you would have more empathy to these women
