Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee Hymn Tune: Hymn To Joy by Ludwig van Beethoven. This Hymn needs no introduction, everyone knows this tune and it is sung in all Denominations. I used it often as a morning and opening Worship Hymn and it was often requested at Weddings. On the 3rd verse, I created a harmonization with Swell to Great on the last verse.

** Please use your headphones for the arrangement to hear the Spatial Separation and Full rich Stop combinations.

Thank you for visiting.

Lance

** I have another arrangement of this Hymn Tune - Ode To Joy where I play the Irregular version with the dotted quarter notes like in the original score and I use a Harpsichord Stop ( the only video where I use it ).

  • This hymn come up around late June early July.

  • Joyful music leads us sunward indeed! Praise be to God!

  • One of the greatest hymns in all Christendom...what a Joy it will be to see the Risen Christ face to face.

  • The last part made my jaw DROP! That was an amazing stop combination! What were the stops???

  • This one infuses the sleeping back rows with great doses of the Holy Spirit, and even moves a few to song! Ha! This is one of the greats, and a favorite in its many manifestations, sacred, near sacred, and secular. Good job, Lance!

  • What can I say... "Another triumph!!!"

  • Absolutely stunning (:

My church normally uses this song as the Sequence on Pentecost (I'm the organist, lol). When I play it, on the final verse, I play full organ combined with the Ophicleide for a very powerful sound!

  • Don't count sheeps, search for the shepherd!!! LOL!

    great vid!
