The fourth album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin was released on 8 November 1971. No title is printed on the album, so it is generally referred to as Led Zeppelin IV, following the naming standard used by the band's first three studio albums.

In 1972 when I was just 10 years old, my brother and I taped Black Dog and Stairway off of the radio on a Tanberg reel to reel my Father brought back from Denmark on one of his U.S. Navy cruises. About a year later I got my hands on the album over at a cousin's house and listened to the entire thing. I was blown away.

For me,This was the Best Zep album ever! Used to play this just to piss off my stepdad,locked in my room! Burning incense. O_o

It’s not just the songs. As I said, I’m not a huge Led Zepplin fan. I’ve heard some of these songs individually, and not thought that much about them.
But when they’re all played together, in order, it’s an amazing experience. Like Dark Side of the Moon

I have to be honest, I’m not a Zepplin fan. In fact, I’d probably swap towards disliking them! I only came on here after reading Rolling Stones top 500 all time albums list, and needing something to listen to at work.
This is seriously one of the most astounding pieces of music I think I’ve ever heard
