@thrashfan17 Third, Jack White is not becoming the "shallow US culture". Apart from the 3 legit bands he's in, he's invested in Third Man Records, collaborating with old and new artists, helping to reviving vinyl's popularity (which is a wonderful way to experience music) when technology and instant gratification have cheapened our experience with music. He seems extremely logical and ethical in his approach, so I'd personally say he's doing the exact opposite - and keeping integrity alive.

@townie607 Its pretty disingenuous to compare Kurt Cobain with Jack white my friend. Love them both but Cobain did something Jack White can never do and thats not a bad thing...its the luxury of being born earlier. Both have their place in history...one is grunge and the other is folk/blues rock. No need to hate...love them both
