  • The Dred Scott decision itself says that (paraphrasing) "the black race is so inferior, in the eyes of God and men of honor, that he has no rights which the white man must respect"

No rights -- none. In fact, the Dred Scott decision said blacks are SO inferior, that they are not even human in eyes of the law. They are property.

Why the fuck not admit that? This was the discussion AT the time -- The South saying blacks were inferior by will of GOD -

  • This fuck head should have started out with "Dred SCott decision was a conspiracy by Southern Scum to declare blacks were not human, they were property"

Because that is exactlyl what it was. An illegal and fucked up effort to spread slavery by deceit, becaue the scum sucking southern pussies could not spread slavery by honest means.

Guess who said this? Lincoln said it, only in nicer language.

Foner knows this. He tries to hide the truth.

  • This lunatic says "somewhat irregularly" Buchanan is in "touch' with the Court about Dred Scott.

Did this fucking "professor" ever fucking bother to read the House Divided Speech? The whole FUCKING speech is about how Davis, Buchanan, Stephens were plotting to use that case to declare blacks were not even fucking HUMAN in the eyes of the law.

This guy knows this - he is just too pussy to explain it. It takes balls to explain what was going on with Dred Scott, Lincoln, and Davis.

  • . Dred Scott sure as fuck meant slavery was going to be everyhere -- or no where. You think you know history, and I bet you dont have a clue how Dred Scott maginified the issue x 1000.

Dred Scott said slaves were not human. But much worse -- it said NO state had the right to STOP slavery

Congress could not stop it - but neither could any state. Neither could the people in any state.

So it turned the evil of slavery -- into a right, like freedom of speech or press. Crazy ass shit

  • The Dred Scott case did not ensure the Civil War would occur. In fact, slavery in all but name continued well into the 1950s - it would be industrialized agriculture that would eventually end "sharecropping", by making slavery inefficient.

  • Dred Scott decision meant that the NORTH would not be able to keep slavery out of the North. Lincoln said repeatedly we would be all slave, or all free. This wasn't a rhetorical device -- Lincoln meant it literally. We forget that today. . Lincoln and others saw Dred Scott as meaning all the states would have to allow slavery. Lincoln was right. Dred Scott decision made the civil war inevitable, Lincoln made the civil war be about freedom.
