This is probably the best firefighter video i've seen. It doesn't focus on the bravery it takes to actually face the dragon... It focuses on what it takes to realize that we can't save every life. This should be shown to every fire cadet.

For fks sake, how many times are you drama queens going to keep using 9/11 and the west texas blast to further your own arguments?
these incidents were one offs and do not represent day to day firefighting .
Anyone ,firefighter or not,who dies trying to save others is a hero, but that does not mean because a firefighter died saving someone that all firefighters are heroes.
That like saying if my friend saved someones life heroically while i looked on that i also am a hero, of course not .

hey smart guy answer me this, the firefighters who went to the Ferilize plant i West Texas, were they drama queens, were the heroes or to you both, think for once they left families they died trying to save those at the plant and lost their own lives, same for the Charlston SC 9, and those from Worscestor, and the 343, what about them were they drama queens, they died trying to save others and you said that they try to preserve their own lives, think of those that have been lost.

Every single call can be their last , every time i leave my home i can be hit by a bus, every time i go to work i can fall from a roof and be killed , every time i have something to eat i can choke and die.
Thats what i mean about firefighters being drama queens ,no one goes to work every day and says that shit .
28 have died this year that is very low, around 100 firefighters die per year which is a miniscule amount compared to other jobs .You are not even in top 10 most dangerous jobs .
Grow up

A firefighter number 1 goal is to preserve life. They do what ever it takes to save someone. Every single call can be their last. As of now 28 already died this year. Avg has been a 100 a year. Go to a fire station and hang out with them and hear their stores, go on a ride to one of their calls. Every single one of them first priority is to get whomever is out. But i can already tell you're a fucking tool.
