Boris Yeltsin was an opportunist leader who for the sake of personal interests and thirst for becoming the President of Russian Federation, did not hesitate to break up the soviet union.As time passed it was evident what a mess he made to the Russian economy and political power.Corruption, oligarchy were the main features of his rule. I would blame Yeltsin as the main culprit for breaking the USSR, rather than Gorbachev who tried to reform and preserve the Soviet Union. Burn in Hell Yeltsin!
