Ironbath, I now know what you mean. I saw Mindy live in Lexington KY, fascinating, but she brings her personality to the stage with her: Absolutely endearing, chatty, sometimes a bit flighty in the way her mind wanders off on long stories and giggles...and compulsive about tuning, she was never happy with her guitar tuning, She seems very sensitive to sound, and with her compulsiveness it must run her crazy if it doesn't suit her. But what a sincere, warm beautiful sound, so poetic, REAL.

Ironbath, 1st, thanks for the video of Mindy, live footage of her is rare. 2nd, I would have loved to been on the Cayamo trip, but couldn't get vacation time to do it :-( Lastly, what makes you say 'She's a strange one"? Granted, she did seem to be a bit tickled by something (?). For those of us who have been fans of Mindy for a long time, we regard her as one of the 1st rank of singer poets, up there with Patty Griffin, Dar Williams, or Shawn Colvin, brilliant writer, poetic artist.
