Here's one of my all-time favorites by George Harrison. My friend, Caleb (a.k.a. Koaf), and Jake Shimabukuro inspired me to learn how to play the ukulele, so I thought I'd try it on this song. Hope it works for you. It did for me.

Intro: 0003 2020 2010 0003 0003 2323 2010 0003

(0003)Isn't it a (2020)pity (2010)
Now, isn't it a (0003)shame
How we break each other's (2323)hearts (2010)
And cause each other (0003)pain
How we take each other's (2020)love (2010)
Without thinking any(0003)more
Forgetting to give (2323)back (2010)
Isn't it a (0003)pity

Some things take so long
But how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity

Isn't it a pity
Isn't is a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity.

  • Nice! Could you tell me the chords you play?

  • I tabbed it out the intro and the first verse in the video description. That should get you started. If you have any further questions, just let me know.

  • Very nice, the guy reminds me of Martin Mull.

  • I really like this song. Good uke playing and vocal too!

  • heylover3, the tuning is g.C.E.A, it's a tenor ukulele, but the tuning also works with the concert or the soprano ukuleles i think.

  • Thanks a lot! I love this Song.
