People who are genderqueer, which he seems to be indicating is how he feels right now, often don't distinguish other people by gender either. Gender may not figure into whether or not he is attracted to them, so he doesn't get into it.

I know that I personally am attracted more to a dominant, masculine, energy- but I couldn't care less about the plumbing.
