It was only the 16 and 32GB versions of the Zen X-fi that had WIFI I might add to this. For podcasts and inhouse mediastreaming :)

My screen doesnt work but the buttons and music do.

If you just want a music player with excellent sound quality, good storage, good value for money go for the Zen.
If you want a gadget go for the iPod.
I've personally had both, and I've returned my iPod, it was too fiddly for me, the sound was inferior, it was a good but with the Zen I can easily change song, or go to the 'Most Popular' tab without even taking it out of my pocket.
