H.S. Football: John Glenn at Philo (9/18/09)

Philo shocked John Glenn to say the least, when the Electrics escaped the Muskies grasp 16-10 in overtime for their first win over the fish since 1995.

John Glenn (0-4) held a 10-0 lead over host Philo (2-2) late into the fourth quarter until the Electrics Trevor Scott took over. With 5:29 remaining in the game the junior quarterback ran into the endzone from 26 yards out, pulling his team within three points. A late 31-yard field goal from Zach Smith tied the game 10-10 with :30 seconds on the clock to force overtime.

In the extra period, John Glenn failed to score on its first attempt allowing Philo to run away with the win behind Scotts game-winning touchdown run. Scott finished with 114 yards passing and 116 yards rushing on 25 carries.
