@mikelheron20 So? It still happened, it isn't any more disgusting or vile than history books or the news. Also, the story is supposed to show that you should sacrifice anything for God, it's not an encouragement for murder or anything like that.

@michalptacnik1 The Bible can easily be deciphered. I dont find it hard it very hard to understand. There are many scriptures the many men take out of context. PLease share with me a scripture about becoming God's sons. I do know of Romans 8:15-17, 23. Yes, Paul was speaking of humans, but not ALL humans.

@michalptacnik1 You are correct. Jesus is the firstborn of all creation, but if you think about it, doesnt that also mean the ONLY begotten son of the Almighty God? The only-begotten Son is the one through whom God created all other things. Colossians 1:16. There are many angelic sons (angels in heaven) but Jesus is unique, he referred himself as the "firstborn" or only begotten son at John 3:18. Jesus is speaking John 3:16-20

@spelmanchic2010 What about then all that verses about becomming God's sons? But then again, the original Greek is not "only begotten" but "firstborn" for Jesus. Bottom line, the Bible holds many mysteries which can not be deciphered by mere doctrines shared by men.

@paula96love He kinda sees us as both, He is not dumb not to see the human part, but He understands the human part must be burned as an offering in His fire so His son can grow inside. Then, looking back, we realize that which was burned was not "real" to begin with.

@spelmanchic2010 I respect your way of seeing it, but I do not see God's heavenly family as any different from God's human family. I don't think he sees us as "humans" anyway, I think he sees us as souls with the potential to become the Christ.

@paula96love If you read the Bible you will certain see that we all are God's (his personal name is Jehovah (Psalms 83:18)) son and daughters. The word beget means-- (especially of a male parent) to procreate or generate (offspring) meaning that Jesus is the only creation created by God himself. The Word itself says he's the ONLY begotten son. What about us? We make up God's human family and he also has a heavenly family- the angels are called sons of God in some places in the Bible

@spelmanchic2010 Sorry, I don't believe Jesus Christ is the Lord's only son. I believe we are ALL sons and daughters of God. I believe Jesus Christ is our older brother, an example of what we can become if we work hard on being like Jesus and make up for the things we have done wrong. "The things you see me do, you shall do also- and greater things"
