This is a personal project of mine that took about a year to complete. It's a 3-axis milling machine rigid enough to do light cuts in aluminum. In this clip, I have the cutter about 2" above the part (so as to not make a mess), so there is no actual cutting done here, simply a demonstration to show axis automation. The spindle is controlled by the variable drive to the right of the machine, and can do from 100 to 5000rmp. I also had electronic edge finding capabilities but it is not showcased here in this clip. I was using a demo version of MACH3 software. Fun project. Please comment.
