What a song,just what a song!

For many years I have seen homeless folks -- here in the DC area, in Syracuse (where a significant number die of exposure each winter), anywhere I've lived. The sadness is palpable, not even penetrable. A heartbreaking song. Look for a song named "Daniel Lee" sung by, among others, Mack Bailey if you like this.

Feeling sad in America is the same globally. And it is the best way to express the hardship we feel when others are in pain.

i drew that picture in my art class

I had this album a long time ago. I remember the cover had a quote from Jack Kerouac....."The woods are full of wardens"

Best Don McLean song ever ...

One of the finest songs ever written, and worth listening to again as times get worse.

AWSOME SONG
I used to think negatively of homeless people until I heard this song. It makes me think of them now as people down on their luck more than as people who gave up trying or got lazy. Thank you, Don McLean, for helping me to care.

This may sound like a very American song but I think its about any homeless, downtrodden person anywhere in the world. Don wrote this with such a deep understanding of such people. It's amazing! He's amazing!
