@Velkoze1 We're all big fans of Masanobu Fukuoka here at PermaScience. However SRI farming is more of a high yield, non chemical alternative to current high energy input monoculture rice growing, rather than an alternative to Fukuokas methods.

This is an interesting system.
Why do they transplant though ? I don't know much about rice growing, so it always puzzled me; why not let them grow where they sprouted, like the Fukuoka Method ?

Selective breeding, only the healthiest plants are chosen, improving yields in the longer term.
