  • fucking stp this was good

  • @tenkuunokage This is the best version of Wichita Lineman song I've heard. Just had to rip this into Mp3 And load it on my player.

  • Where can I get this recording!!!! This has always been a song that I loved. You just didn't tell your buddys. Glen sounds really good here. Like an nice aged whiskey and the fact that it is done with one of my favorite bands blows me away.

  • @patrickquinn33 I recently ripped it onto MP3. Just had to have this tune whenever I head out to work.

  • This song is as powerful today as it was 40 years ago. Haunting and heartfelt. The simple setting and arrangement really suits it.

I also love Glen's Danelectro Longhorn guitar. It's as classic as the song. He gets a beautiful tone out of it.

  • Back to hear/see/experience it again.

Funny/Stupid, when this came out I was an adolescent; in my neighborhood it wasn't cool to dig Glen Campbell. I was cool to dig the Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zep, Cream, CSN, CSN&Y, Sly Stone...

As I look/listen back all those bands were awesome certainly but Glen had it too every bit as much. This song ranks in/up there with the likes of Layla and Brown Sugar- not so much in mood but very much in the timeless category.

    Best wishes Glen...

  • There you have it! What can be better than this shit?

  • @Nacho66. Interestingly, Carl Verheyen wrote in the latest Guitar Player mag that it was actually Neil LeVang who played that part in the studio with the Fender Bass VI

  • @ode2joy4u Jimmy Webb, the composer, also deserves a nod. I do agree that Mr. Campbell's is the best interpretation of this song.

  • Oh this was on the bonus dvd that came with STP's greatest hits album "Thank You"! I love this version! I ripped it to mp3 too so i could listen to it on my ipod. Good stuff.

  • 2 people need the lineman to fix their wiring.

  • Let's not forget that about a month ago Glen announced he has Alzheimer's disease. I hope that he's one hell of a fighter.

  • Really glad to see no one hit the dislike button. Shows that their is still plenty of people that recognize what music is meant to be. Not any generic classification but for the intrinsic value of the music itself.

  • @radfish2000 Actually just a few years ago he did get a nod from his peers and was voted by them as the best overall-guitarist alive.

  • Simply awesome!

  • Great song and you can't tell by this video but Glen is one of the most underrated guitarist around.
