Reflecting on the days racing, Chris said: "... Sometimes youre just not quite at your best and todays one of those days. I made an error in the second round and I paid for that dearly. If you switch off for a split second you leave yourself vulnerable and we saw that with Robert Forstemanns ride. Its a three lap race and theres nothing to say you cant attack from the start. It doesnt happen very often but it did today and all credit to him for having that intuition to give it a go. Its an important lesson Ive learnt today and thats in the back of my mind now for every race. Its disappointing but thats just the way it goes ..."
Rückblickend auf die Rennen des Tages sagte Chris: "... Manchmal ist man gerade nicht gut drauf und heute war so ein Tag. Ich beging einen Fehler in der 2. Runde und ich bezahlte teuer dafür. Wenn du für den Bruchteil einer Sekunde abschaltest, machst Du Dich selbst angreifbar und wir sahen das mit Robert Förstemanns Fahrt. Es war ein Drei-Runden-Rennen und es spricht nichts dagegen, gleich am Start zu attackieren. Das geschieht nicht sehr oft,
aber es geschah heute. Ihm gebührt alle Ehre, dass er die Intuition hatte, es so zu machen. Es ist eine wichtige Lektion, die ich heute lernte, und ich werde sie von nun an bei jedem Rennen im Hinterkopf haben. Es ist frustrierend, aber nur so geht es... "

I thought this tactic would never work these days, but in this case... Awessome!
But we have to recognise: Hoy had a great recovery after caught in surprise.

The speed Hoy was going right up to the line was unbelievable. Well played to the German though, I don't think he could have won any other way.

it's a tactical race and that was magnificet tactics - the only way Foerstermann was ever going to win - clever
