Pittsburgh Fire Engine 18 goes past my apartment on 5th Ave. in Oakland to a fire alarm activation just down the street. 18 Engine is a brand new quint. Stay safe 18!

  • they classify those as engines?

  • yes

  • Or medical. Ha.

  • it was the first due on a fire alarm where the people on scene called dispatch to report there was no fire and it went through by orders of the Battalion Chief to check it out and reset the system

  • thats a truck not an engine

  • it looks like a truck because it is a quint, but in Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire considers quints to be in service as Engine Companies and when calls are dispatched they say "18 Engine" and on the back of the rig it says "E-18" trust me
