@Aussie50 goodmans are still cheap, low bid pieces of junk, i wonder why he picked this brand as there are so many better brands around, i hope it will last 10 years

An older Goodman packaged unit PCK036 w/ 10KVa /60 amp breaker, single whip...how is the wiring protected on the compressor?...I may have to upgrade to a 15 KVa Heat Kit, and I was wondering about the compressor breaker, which I do not see on this unit.

What Brand was the Old Unit?

I see the air handler is sitting on top of something that holds it up but is hollow. Did you fashon that out of plywood and the seal it? I am going to have a similar issue with mine.

Excellent videos, very helpful with my current project replacing my home heat pump and air handler. I appreciate the thought that goes into such a project, and the fact that not everything goes according to plan.

We had a carrier duel fuel hybrid furnace, coil & heat pump. After 8 years the indoor coil had 2-8 refrigerant leaks. Now we have a trane xv80 furnace, xl15i heat pump, and a trane coil. We are very satisfied.
I don't see the indication on the reading panel or information label regarding the Ton and SEER on it. How would I fingure them out? Are there calculation or how would I find out? Thank you.

@thisisnotyours1 The outdoor unit has those ratings on it, the indoor coil doesn't, because that rating is largely dependent on the outdoor unit. Both units must be matched together properly, that's done based on the manufacture's spec sheets.

I can picture the electric meter spinning with all those killerwatts.

@umajunkcollector The climate here in Vancouver means that the electric heat strips will only be used a few days per year, so it's not that bad.
